| (1) SmarTire - Sensors do not report unless vehicle is moving. Installation requires that all wheels be removed, tires broken down to mount the Sensor on the rim, then reassembled, inflated, balanced, and reinstalled on the vehicle. When battery maintenance or repair is required, the process must be repeated. Also requires at least two external antennas be installed plus the installation and cabling of a receiver. No alternate vehicle use flexibility. |
| (2) Tire Sentry - Does not report tire pressures. Requires the installation of an external antenna, cabled to a receiver amplifier inside the vehicle, which is wired to the display mounted in a new 2" hole in the dash, or in an aftermarket gauge bracket mounted separately. Does not alert when vehicle is parked. Limited alternate vehicle use. |
